Remain Here with Me is part of the Hokianga series, a group of paintings (acrylic on canvas or woodpanel), created during a 5-week visual art residency at the Rawene Church studio in the Hokianga (April - May, 2023). This painting is an expression of the incredible powerful bond between Mother and Child, as well as the need to have someone by our side when in need of love, protection or support or when getting ready for that final journey at the end of our lives.
